Immigrant and Worker’s Day of Action!

On February 3, Westminster members and friends joined a crowd of nearly 1300 demonstrators who showed up to march, protest, and participate in conversations with lawmakers in support of immigrants and workers in our community and our nation. The crowd gathered at the Railyard and marched up Paseo de Peralta to the Roundhouse, where we gathered on the side of the building for a rally. Following the rally, participants were invited to meet with their representatives to push for protections for immigrants and workers. The Santa Fe Reporter reported that the crowd was so big and so loud lawmakers could hear it from inside the building!
