Come worship with us!

Worship is at the heart of what we do together. We worship in the Reformed tradition every Sunday at 11 am. While the primary language of our worship is English, we honor our heritage as the Spanish-speaking Presbyterian church in Santa Fe by including Spanish each week - in our prayers and as we read Scripture.

Worship Options

We worship at 11am every Sunday, both in-person and online. We look forward to seeing you in church!

We are the Church, worshipping God as one body even when we are not in one space. In God, we are made one Church, bigger than any building might contain. Thanks be to God!

Somos la Iglesia, adorando a Dios como un solo cuerpo, aunque no estemos en un solo espacio. En Dios, somos hechos una sola Iglesia, más grande que cualquier edificio que pueda contener. ¡Gracias a Dios!

God’s welcome is wide - wider than anything we might imagine.

The Table at Westminster is open to any who want to partake in the Joyful Feast. Wherever you are on your journey, there is a place for you at God’s Table. Our cup is filled with grape juice, never wine, and there is always a gluten-free option. Whenever we celebrate communion, the pastor will announce how we will keep the Feast - by passing the loaf and cup, by coming forward to dip it in, or some other way. If you are worshipping with us, and do not wish to partake, you are welcome to remain seated or pass the loaf and cup without taking any.

The movement of worship

Gathering

We gather with a Call to Worship - a prayer or litany that reminds us of God’s goodness. We sing a hymn praising God. As we remember God’s goodness and mercy, we are honest with ourselves and each other about the ways we fall short of God’s vision for creation and community.

Hearing

As Presbyterians and in the Reformed tradition, the Word - read and proclaimed - is central to our worship. The rhythm of worship centers on the Word - we gather to prepare ourselves to hear the Word, we hear the Word, we respond to the Word, and we are sent out into the world in response. Scripture is read in English and Spanish, followed by a sermon.

Responding

We respond to God’s word read and proclaimed by bringing our tithes and offerings forward. On the first and third Sundays of the month, we celebrate the Joyful Feast - God’s table, set for all . We offer prayers for God’s creation: for people and planet, for peace and plenty for all.

Sending

We sing a hymn, responding to all we have heard in worship. The pastor offers the benediction - the good words - that we take with us into the new week. The postlude is played. We share Christ’s peace with one another, and bear that peace into the world and our week.

Children are welcome in worship!

We have a children’s church toward the back of the sanctuary; a space where kiddos can get wiggles out and their adults can keep an eye on them and participate in worship. There’s a rocking chair for the youngest of the children of God, and books, coloring pages, and a variety of toys for older ones. We know babies and kids make noise and we figure it’s all part of the joyful noise we make for God in worship.
