Who we are:
We have been called “The Little Church with a Big Heart,” and we work hard to live into and up to that phrase! We strive to be open and inclusive and to welcome all people. We are open and affirming, meaning we welcome women and LGBTQIA people into our congregation, including leadership at all levels.
We wear our welcome on our building: a banner declaring “Immigrants and Refugees Welcome” hangs on our wall and a Pride flag flies on our portal. We speak our welcome into being: the Scriptures are read in English y en Español, and we use Spanish-language resources throughout worship.
We are a member congregation of the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.), the largest and most progressive Presbyterian denomination in the U.S. We are also members of More Light Presbyterians, an organization that works tirelessly for the full inclusion of LGBTQIA persons in the life and ministry of the church. Because we care deeply about making sure people feel welcome in our building, our restrooms are gender-neutral.
Our congregation is deeply invested and involved in the local community. From solar panels on our roof to serving meals at the Interfaith Shelter, Westminster cares about people and planet. Our Matthew 25 Fund provides much needed housing assistance to the local community, helping people remain in their homes when all other resources are tapped out.

While the demographics of our congregation skew older, we are a lively and vibrant community! We enjoy experimenting with new music and worship resources; we love to gather for meals and community. Last year, we welcomed Mariachi Azteca de Santa Fe to provide the music for worship, and we look forward to other worship collaborations!
Because we take our responsibility and call to welcome all very seriously, Westminster has a Child and Youth Protection Policy. If you have questions or concerns, please contact Rev. Madeline or a member of Session.
